Foreign Objects: 'The IT Crowd' USA

Did you know that a US pilot of The IT Crowd was produced back in 2007, starring a pre-Community Joel McHale as Roy, Jessica St. Clair as Jen, Rocky Carroll as Denholm, and Richard Ayoade reprising his role as super-nerd Mos? No? Well, now you do. The production was canned by NBC, but you can watch the unaired pilot above/below, which is almost a direct copy of the British version's script. It's like stepping into a bizarro universe. Still, wise choice to ensure Ayoade was involved (I can't imagine anyone else playing Mos), and I do rather like McHale, although he's just too handsome to be playing Roy...
