Fantastic news! BBC Four are going to start showing season 4 of Mad Men, starting in September (possibly the first week). The UK are usually 6-8 months behind the US airings on AMC, but BBC Four have assumedly taken heed of complaints and are shortening the gap. This will also help curb illegal downloads.
Obviously, this is excellent news, and something I've personally been calling for since Mad Men began. There's still a significant half-season gap to bridge, but hopefully BBC Four will tighten that even further in 2011.
What do you make of this unexpected news? Have you been following Mad Men's US airings? Will you be prepared to stop and wait for BBC Four to catch-up to where you've left off? Or will you continue as you are, but next year wait for the BBC?
